July See Care Share Monthly Update

In the July edition of the See Care Share Update, we are raising the awareness of handling ice in a hygienic way as this is classed as food in the eyes of the EHO. To assist in communicating this to your teams we have shared a 1-page document on the hygienic use of ice.

Our Safety focus this month is on the safe use of knives. As we know the incident with knives most commonly occur where team members become complacent or distracted whilst handling knives. We have included guidance and information the use of cut gloves, these are mandated in parts of the business, but it is best practice to have these available for team members if needed. Included is a poster on where cut gloves are available from. 

Our take home safety topic is on safety in the garden, now that summer is here, we all want to make the most of the garden and being safe means, we can enjoy our gardens and not spend it in A&E.
