WSMS update – Action required

We have made some updates to the WSMS, which require some action from all unit managers. To improve our how we assess and control the risks associated with violence in the workplace we have created a new risk assessment, ES15 Violence at Work RA, and added a section on Work-related Aggression and Violence to the Site Safety Information Pack.

To update your existing WSMS folder you need to:

·         Review and tailor ES15 Violence at Work and add this to the Essential Risk Assessments section in the folder.

·         Retain OPS02 Violence at Work Risk Assessment, but this can be placed at the back of the WSMS folder.

·         Add STCSI 24 and 25 Work-related Aggression and Violence to your Site Safety Information Pack.

·         Train your staff using STCSI 24 and 25 and record this training in the individuals’ Training Matrix.

You can purchase an update pack that contains ES15 Violence at Work RA and STCSSI 24 and 25 on Linney (CO24_COM_KIT_049902).

Please note that the Site Safety Information Pack PowerPoint and PDF on the website have been updated and include the new pages. Any new WSMS folders purchased from Linney include ES15 and the updated Site Safety Information Pack.
