Peter Priday - Technical Compliance Director
Peter started his working life as an apprentice Car Mechanic. He then moved into the Oil and Gas Industry and re-trained as a High Voltage Engineer / Authorised Person. As his career progressed, he took on other disciplines including Petroleum, Gas, Pressure Systems, Lifting Operations, Confined Spaces and Working at Height.
Throughout his time in that industry, he developed policies and procedural systems to align with Health and Safety Legislation and ensure these activities were controlled and undertaken as safely as possible.
Peter joined Compass Group UK & Ireland (ESS) as the Operations Manager on the Shell Contract in May 2005 and remained on the Shell contract until he moved into Central Functions in October 2013.
Peter has a wide range of Building Services and Process Safety Knowledge and has used this to develop the Company Operational Policies and Safety Rules.
Peter now holds the positions of Technical Authority and Coordinating Authorising Engineer for Electrical, Mechanical, Fuels, Working at Height, Confined Spaces, Lifting Operations and Water Systems.
Outside of Compass Peter is married to Sandra with 2 Sons and 4 Grandchildren. He enjoys American Football and has been a lifelong fan of the Seattle Seahawks. He also enjoys cricket, and anyone who knows him will know he loves his Cars (Petrol Only).

John Wigglesworth - Technical Compliance Manager
John brings extensive experience in engineering, building services, technical compliance and operational safety.
He began his career as a plumber before joining the Royal Air Force as an Engineering Technician (Electrical). During his service, he developed a broad technical background, working with a diverse range of complex systems and equipment, including radar and navigation aids, communications systems, transmitters and satellite communications.
John joined Compass Group UK & Ireland in January 2009 (ESS) as Electrical Supervisor on the Army Foundation College contract. Since then, he has progressed through a variety of technical and operational roles, gaining extensive experience in mechanical and electrical services, project delivery and facilities management. In 2017, he took responsibility for supporting the start-up and management of the Central Functions self-delivered Engineering Team. He then moved to the Cadent Gas contract in 2022 as Technical Services Manager before returning to Central Functions in June 2025 to take up his current role as Technical Compliance Manager.
Throughout his career, John has developed strong expertise in building services and facilities management, supporting operational teams in the delivery of hard FM services. He consistently ensures compliance with operational policies, health and safety procedures, and relevant industry standards while maintaining high levels of service delivery and operational performance.
John is also Authorised Person for High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical systems, Working at Height and Confined Spaces. His focus is on safe systems of work, technical assurance and compliance.
Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and children following Bradford City as season ticket holders. He is also a keen hiker and scrambler, making the most of the outdoors whenever possible.

Jamie Keillor - Technical Compliance & Vending Estate Manager
Jamie began his career as an Apprentice Electrician, gaining extensive experience across a broad range of electrical industries. He later moved into the oil and gas sector, where he worked as an Electrical Technician, supporting operations on offshore jack-up rigs.
Since 2014, Jamie has built a career within facilities management, developing broad technical expertise across compliance, maintenance, delivering projects and operational requirements.
Jamie joined Compass Group UK & Ireland (ESS) in July 2022 as UK Technical Services Supervisor on the Ithaca Energy contract. In this role, he was responsible for delivering technical services across multiple sites, ensuring statutory compliance, managing contractors, and overseeing safe systems of work including Permit to Work processes.
In August 2026, Jamie joined the Technical Compliance team as Technical Compliance & Vending Estate Manager, where he is responsible for supporting technical compliance and estate management across the UK vending estate.
Outside of work, Jamie spends time on his family's farms, playing golf, and following motorcycle racing, both as a spectator and at live events.
