Stress (workplace)

What is stress?

HSE defines stress as 'the adverse reaction people have to excessive pressures or other types of demand placed on them’. To assist managers with Workplace Stress we have created the Workplace Stress Risk Assessment and the Stress Talking Toolkit. These documents are designed in line with government and mental health charities best practice. Please only use these documents where Workplace Stress has been identified as an issue or risk – these are not default documents to complete.
